During the off season of snowmobiling we specialize in fly fishing adventures and outdoor activities for all. Outdoor activities are performed in a group setting that is safe, and encourages people to get outside, have fun, and get fit. However, anyone can come and stay at The Avalon.

All of our events are done in a group setting with one to two guides. We teach new skills, techniques, and expose people to various outdoor adventures that they might not otherwise participate in or even try out. Our activities include but are not limited to: fly fishing, kayaking, horseback riding, mountain biking, and hiking during the summer months.

We want people to experience quintessential Vermont. Thus, we strive to bring our guests new and exciting events, offer excellent service, and offer comfortable and elegant accommodations. We offer events such as; How to find edible mushrooms, Searching for Vermont's Spring Treats such as fiddleheads, Learn the Art of Bread making, How to identify flora and fauna, Seminars on identifying animal tracks, Expeditions for learning outdoor survival skills, and so on!

During the winter season our excursions are snowshoe treks, cross-country skiing, learn to snowboard, intro to snowmobiling and more. We also offer elegant accommodations, continental breakfasts, and spa-like amenities such as yoga, pilates, and use of our hot tub.
