CANCELLATION POLICY



PLEASE NOTE:
A 50% deposit is required when booking - we use a credit card guarantee to hold your room. The remaining 50% is due upon check-in.

Payments by cash or check.

A deposit equal to 50% of you stay is required to confirm a reservation. In the event of cancellation, deposits will be returned, provided that we are notified at least 14 days before the scheduled arrival date. Deposits for reservations cancelled less than 14 day prior to scheduled arrival will not be refunded. If less than 14 days' notice is given, deposit may be used toward another visit within six months, provided we can rebook the cancelled reservation.

For cancellations with less notice (including late arrivals and early departures), deposits will be refunded if the room can be re-booked, less a $35 processing fee. If you are departing early because the snowmobile or ski trails are terrible we will work something out with you.

TAXES

There is a 9% local and state tax applicable to all guestroom rates. This tax is subject to change without notice. All meals are subject to a 9% Vermont State Meals Tax. Packages that include taxes and gratuities include 9% Vermont State Meals tax.



HOLIDAYS

Holiday Periods include the following: Martin Luther King Day, President's Week, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year's Week.

We require a three night minimum stay during holiday periods. We require a two night stay on most non-holiday weekends.

CHILDREN

We do allow children. However, for very small children 6 and under we have a lot of fun things to play with such as an indoor hot tub, antiques, water fountains, tiffany lamps, and candles. We have resident German Shepherds that are great with kids. Yet, if your kids are afraid of dogs we might not be the best choice for your getaway to Vermont.

PET POLICY - WE ARE PET FRIENDLY


We try to accommodate our guests and hunting guests with dogs. Please check with us for availability. Dogs must have rabies shots and tags and must be on a flea and tick product such as frontline.

Please don't leave your pet in our rooms all day long - just ask us if you need to have someone pet them, give them kisses, or take them for a walk. We love pets and we have more if we could....thus, your pet will get lots of attention from us. Please bring a blanket or towel and your doggie bed for your pet.

We charge $100.00 for your pets stay. We are pet friendly but please don't let your pet on our furniture and sleep on our beds. If you need a crate added to your room we charge $25.00.

Pets Powder Room is located in our woods. Please take your pet to this designated Pet Powder Room area and not on the main inn lawn.

If you will be crossing the border into Canada with your pet you will need to have your current dog tags, rabies tag and your current rabies certificate from your vet.



If you want a kennel or groomer we encourage you to contact Maxwell Kingdom Kennels located in Island Pond, Vermont.

Here is a list of Vets in Vermont. One of the closest vets is Derby Pond Animal Hospital located in Derby, VT (802) 766-2222.

We reserve the right to deny certain species and can't always accommodate all pets. Please ask in advance.

SMOKING

We are a non-smoking inn. We have a strict non-smoking policy inside the inn - $100.00 sur-charge. However, please feel free to smoke outside on our porch. We have a smokers station for your convenience.

CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT TIMES

Check in --- 4:00 P.M.

Check out --- 11:00 A.M.

However, you are more then welcome to check in earlier, park your truck and trailers in our lot and ride, or enjoy the Northeast Kingdom. We can't guarantee that you room will be ready before 4:00 P.M. If you will be arriving late please let us know so we can keep the light on for you...just like Motel 6.

EXTRA PERSON

All of our rates are based on double occupancy and include a deluxe continental breakfast. If you add another person into our Secret Room we add $20.00 per person/per child. If we add a cot to any of the rooms the additional charge will be $20.00 per person/per child.

LEAVING YOUR SLEDS

We will let you leave your sleds and trailor at no charge on our property if you will be coming back the following weekend. Please inquire.
